Join us at Union South, Thursdays, 9/3 - 10/22, 10a - 2p

Union South is hosting a weekly farmer's market every Thursday from 10am to 2pm September 3rd through October 22nd. It is located outside Union South at the corner of N. Orchard St and W. Johnson.

Area vendors will sell local and organic products during the "Campus Farmer's Market" on the Orchard St. Mall between Union South and computer science. Vendors include Parrfection Produce a co-op of farmers from Monroe, Munchkey Apples grown locally in Mount Horeb, Babcock Hall Dairy, Savory Accents, the Bucky's Butchery, Tummy Yummies, Wisconsin Union Catering, Amazing Grace Family Farm and many more. The Wisconsin Union purposefully features locally grown produce, which align with its own goals of promoting sustainability and links with the community.

"Last year was my first year in business, and the Campus Farmer's Market was my favorite market! The people are the #1 reason. I love being a part of the 'campus' hustle and bustle. The students and staff who make the market possible are so supportive. My fellow vendors were kind and friendly. What more could I ask for? I even love the train whistle as it rolls by! I am thrilled to be back for the 2015 season." - Cheri, Tummy Yummies Gluten-free Treats

"Purchases from vendors like, Tummy Yummies, help build capacity for our local farmers and producers and allow us to bring a fresher more sustainable product to our customers." - Carl Korz, Assistant Director of Dining Services.

Students on the Union's dining services committee nurtured the idea of the market which will serve students, faculty and staff that frequent the Union South area and surrounding community.
