Disease Prevention and Physical Health

Disease prevention and physical health covers measures to prevent the occurence of disease, arrest its progress and reduce its consequences. This includes activities and behaviors designed to reduce risk factors and protect the public from actual or potential health threats and their harmful consequences.

Disease prevention and physical health is one of three key components of physical wellness. The other components, just as important, are disease prevention and nutrition.

The Division of Recreational Sports offers a wide array of physical activities for people of all abilities. Pools and gyms, classes, personal training, equipment rentals and more are available year-round at various campus locations.
